Selunaria builds a personal astrology reading from your birth data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Birth data you enter in the quiz: your name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and city of birth. This is what the chart is calculated from — without it the product cannot work.
Quiz answers: what brought you here, your focus, tone preference and similar choices. They shape how your reading is written.
Email address, if you give one, and a password if you create an account.
Your conversations with Selena, your tarot spreads, and your daily mood check-ins.
Basic technical data for analytics: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, approximate country, device type, browser and operating system.
Why we collect it
To calculate your natal chart and write your reading, forecast, synastry and tarot interpretations.
To keep your account and let you return to your readings from another device.
To understand how the product is used — which steps people complete and where they stop — so we can improve it.
To send you the morning forecast by email, if you asked for it.
Artificial intelligence
Selena is an AI, not a human astrologer. Your readings, chat replies, forecasts and tarot interpretations are generated by an AI language model.
To generate them, your birth chart data and your messages are sent to our AI provider (Google, Gemini models). We do not send your email address or password to the AI provider.
AI-generated readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not advice — medical, psychological, legal or financial.
Where your data lives
Our server is located in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union).
The website and the API run on that same server. Cloudflare sits in front of it as a content delivery network and protects it from attacks; it sees the traffic in transit. AI generation runs on Google's Gemini API. Payments are handled by Stripe, which receives your email and payment details directly — we never see your card. Email, when enabled, is sent through Resend.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics is first-party — the data stays on our own server.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie: your session, so that you stay logged in. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to how it is processed.
You can also withdraw consent at any time — for example by deleting your account, which removes your profile, readings and chat history.
To exercise any of these rights, write to the contact address below. We answer within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile and readings while your account exists. When you ask for deletion, we remove them. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may remain.
Children
Selunaria is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
